Nylon 11 D.O.T. Tubing
Brand: Freelin-WadeNylon D.O.T. tubing is made from nylon 11 resin, a unique material derived from castor beans, and is primarily used as break line tubing.
Also known as polyamide 11, nylon 11 exhibits outstanding abrasion, chemical, impact, moisture, and thermal resistance, and excellent dimensional stability.
It is ideal for use with instrumentation and pneumatic accessories that are connected to the air brake system.
D.O.T tubing is required to meet SAE J844 specifications, and comes in two varieties: Type A and Type B.
Type A D.O.T. tubing is 5/16” OD or less. It is rugged enough for critical vehicle systems but is flexible enough to fit in tight spaces.
Type B is for sizes above 5/16” and requires a braid inside the tubing.
